About Us
Backwoods Excavating was created by Mark Dochstader in 1992 and he remains the president, owner, and active member in the day-to-day operations of our company. We started out as a small bobcat service and have steadily grown to own and operate 23 pieces of small and large John Deere equipment, 5 dump trucks, and 3 floats. We also have specialized in Hoe Ram and Hoe Pack attachments for our excavators and rubber tire backhoes.
